Industry Experience:

Designer with fantastic experience, having established her own company and women's clothing label she has a wide range of responsibilities including; small business accounting, design of product range, fabric and trim selection, pattern drafting, organizing sampling and production, marketing, website creation, PR, photo shoots, email marketing, social media and establishing her boutique. Before starting her own company she was Head Designer/Design Team Leader for an apparel retail company where she was responsible for buying, assisting with fabric selection, designing collections, offshore manufacturing spec sheets, liaising and analyzing sales figures. Previous to this she worked as a Designer/Pattern Drafter for Swimwear and Lingerie labels.

Aspirations:

Rather than a ‘design' focused role, she would like a role which would utilize all her other many skills. She is continually seeking to update her knowledge and skills, is a quick learner and enjoys problem solving and challenges.

Profile:

Highly motivated and enthusiastic, she has an analytical mind and is highly organized, works well under pressure, with excellent computer and communication skills, business and management skills. She has diverse range building, designing and fabrication experience. Buying experience in multiple international markets, offshore manufacturing and liaison experience, extensive pattern drafting experience, both manual and CAD.
