THE VISIONARY AND INSPIRATIONAL LEADER

People in this group are naturally inspiring, dynamic, passionate and charismatic leaders. They have an "inner vision" tool which they use to begin with the "bigger picture", jumping from step 1 to 100 without necessarily seeing all the steps in between. They have an emotional depth and compassion that extends beyond the individual level to encompass a larger community. They allow others to follow their own paths, while they follow theirs. For those people who live in an analytical and logical world, this group can be quite difficult to understand, and somewhat idealistic. However, those who are confident in their powers and abilities can earn the respect of others when the idealism becomes reality. They are able to draw people's attention with their charisma and energy and can be very accepting of others, inspiring them to reach their own aspirations. Their methods of such inspiration include an ability to create an open environment to discuss things clearly and effectively. As a result they can be good team members. Brainstorming for new ideas is a strength of this group. They also become very passionate about what they believe in and will inspire people to achieve their vision.

Management/Leadership Style

These people are natural inspirational leaders. They are visionaries and will throw a vision up and out to a team and then inspire them into believing in it.

They tend to like being centre stage and will charismatically get the team to want to do things for them that are beyond their limits.
Difficult behaviours

Sometimes these leaders have wonderful ideas they become extremely passionate about, however they may not have put much thought into how it could be practically implemented, because they can see the end result very clearly. Their ideas are often described as grandiose because they can see so far ahead into the future and the team may think some ideas unrealistic for today's environment. Visionary Inspirational Leaders tend to take on a lot of projects and sometimes over commit. When they over commit they will become depressed and confused and lose their wonderful energy. Detail people will get frustrated with them because they do not think in logical steps and tend to suggest a 100 different ways to achieve a result.

How to encourage better relationship for your team with your manager

Never tell a Visionary Inspirational Leader that their idea ‘won't work' because they have the ability to see it completed in their minds eye and can hop over any obstacle that you may suggest could be a problem. Talk the idea through with them and design a strategy for it. Through the process of designing the strategy the team will eventually see what this leader can see and believe in the success of the idea. During the process of creating the strategy to achieve the idea the inspirational leader may abandon it because it has become too hard and move onto another approach or idea.

Ensure that the team supports this leader and keeps them positive. Also ensure that they do not over commit themselves. If a team positively supports this leader they should hang on for a great ride. These are the managers that inspire their team way into the future, thinking far beyond the now.
