• BDM/Merchandise Manager

An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and innovative Merchandise Manager to join a leading apparel company. In this role you would be responsible for the overall management of the fashion division, including new customer growth, product range extensions for new and existing customers and insuring financial targets are met. Some of your other key responsibilities will include;

• Managing key customer accounts and growing new business
• Managing costs and developing initiatives to improve sales margins
• Sourcing fabrics inline with customer requirements
• Researching international and local market trends
• Preparing and presenting product ranges to customers
• Monitoring the critical path to ensure customer deliveries are on time
• Working with the design room providing guidance on sample make and design

To be successful in this position you will be a self starter with the ability to work autonomously and have strong business acumen. With previous experience in a similar role, you will have demonstrated excellent negotiation and sales skills, have a strategic mind and reputation for outstanding relationship building and communication skills. You are a team player who excels, with an excellent ability to identify trends and problem solve, always responding with innovation and creativity.
