Role Description

This is an outstanding opportunity to join our Huffer Design team. We are looking for a Senior Clothing Designer who can lead the design team at Huffer and elevate our brand to global markets. We are looking for someone who is a passionate leader in design and brings their 'A' game every time, has an eye for the streetwear market and passion, dedication and work drive that matches no other.

To be successful in your application you will have 10+ years in a Fashion Designer role, a require proven commercial experience plus an innate understanding of our brand aesthetic and a maturity to lead the direction of the brand into the next phase of our growth.

The role:

To nurture and drive the Huffer aesthetic to the forefront of the fashion industry in NZ and Australia and across global markets. You will work closely with the Managing Director and Brand Director to deliver:

  • Brand Direction – Contribute to the long-term creative direction of the Huffer brand working alongside the Brand Director (and Founder) to create a long-term vision.
  • Range Plans - Lead and deliver trend forecasts and overall themes for each range that elevate and inspire.
  • Continuous product delivery– be responsible for all aspects of the product design to delivery process including approving PP's and shipping samples, liaising with suppliers and Production Manager throughout the process.

Requirements

  • Leadership – to work with the Brand Director and Founder of Huffer to elevate and inspire.
  • Passion – the love of street wear and an innate understanding of Huffer.
  • A hard-working attitude – a small team commands hard working greatness!
  • Commercial focus – knowing what's going to work in the market place to grow the Huffer brand
  • A positive attitude - the 'yes I'll give it a go' goes a long way in our business
  • Creativity and maturity - to push the boundaries within the brand boundaries and to always be looking for more!
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Illustrator or InDesign programmes.

You will also need to be highly organised, focused, and dedicated with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a team and to deadlines. Our team works hard to be the best and we have a good time while we do it.
