Looking to start your fashion career can be a daunting task. Many ask us – “where do I start?”  There is always the dilemma between practical experience vs. professional education – which is better to have? – Where do I go first? The answer in most instances to the former is both! So where to begin……

I’ve Just Left High School?

If you have a fire in the belly coming out of High School for the fashion industry, you may even have started your career already with courses offered from your school, then there are strong options open to you. “Attitude is everything” The first and most important ingredient you will need is PASSION. The fashion industry is not all glamour and design, but it is jammed packed with passionate and dedicated people who have a strong desire to work in the industry.

Further Education:

Part Time Job?

Even fresh out of High School there are great opportunities to begin your career in fashion, in the retail industry. Many apparel retailers offer fantastic training courses in-house, which are specifically geared towards helping you begin your career without necessarily having any sales or customer service experience.
